You know, relationships are somewhat odd.

I've recently found out for example, that a young lady I've been friends with for oh, four years now, that I've thought largely of and indeed treated as, a younger sister for pretty much the entirety of that time, has been holding onto a crush toward me.
Now, that seems fairly impressive and such in it's own right yes? Now take into context that during those four years, I went through a number of girlfriends, the most 'famous' of which (to those who read this and know anything about me) being one Ms Scarlet, who I was with for bout a year and a half. And to whom I was at one stage affianced.
This same woman watched me go through a rather bad stage in my life when Scarlet decided I was no longer interesting, and not the man to whom she wanted to devote herself. She saw me do some very bad things as I fumbled around trying to make sense of it all, as I threw myself after a series of meaningless relationships in search of validation.
Then, she had to watch me return to a lonely Scarlet's embrace some eight months later, and see us split again soon after (though this time on much better terms).

After all this time I have no idea why she still loves me, but I'm grateful to her for doing so; here's to you Kelli, love ya babe.

Additional fun to all this? Scarlet and me are back to the friends we once were before all this mess began, and this urks the ever living crap out of her new bo, especially since she's refusing to break off all contact with me, just instead chatting when he's not around to sit there glaring at the back of my head.

I should have my own soap opera.
